The Port Authority of the Cayman Islands (the Port Authority ) is a statutory body established on September 15, 1976 under the Port Authority Act. The Port Authority is engaged in the management of the maritime affairs of the Cayman Islands by providing and maintaining facilities for the offloading of cargo imports into all three Islands, contribute to the growth of cruise tourism (and thereby the economy), by providing and maintaining facilities to accommodate the cruise ship passengers and providing and maintaining navigational markers in Cayman Islands waters.
